We have been discussing the value of the truth in these first issues and how important truth is to our souls. Without the truth we are doomed to wander in sin and our end will be eternal separation from God. My aim in these articles is:

To show the Bible as the only source for our authority in religion; our only way back to God. The Bible is the word of God and God alone knows what He wants man to do in order to please Him. God has spoken and revealed His mind to mankind and it is up to man to listen to, and obey, what God has said in His Holy Word.

To convey the word of God to everyone seeking to find it. The Bible is the most published book in the entire world so everyone has access to the Bible. Sadly, because of man’s desire to please himself and not God, there is also much confusion about the Bible. Whose fault is that? Can we understand the Bible alike? If not, why not?

To prove the dreadfulness of religious division. The Lord Jesus prayed for unity among His followers the night before he was crucified. God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit are One and they are united. Why can’t the followers of Jesus also be one and united as Jesus prayed they should? How many churches did Jesus build? Why is there not unity in our world today?

To confirm that Jesus did leave a plan of salvation for everyone to obey. The way to salvation is NOT up to man to design or select or chose. Jesus has determined how men will be saved and we cannot be saved any other way than the way Jesus taught. There is salvation in no one else. Jesus said, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me (John 14:6).

These points are made simply to show how important the Bible is to every person. The Bible is relevant to every race and nationality of people. Since there is ONE God who created the world and ONE Savior who died to save every man, it just makes sense there is also only ONE way for all men to be saved.

“Come now, and let us reason together,” (Isaiah 1:18).
